Ustaz Adi Hidayat: UMJ First Campus Launches International Tahfizh Program

Muhammadiyah University Jakarta (UMJ) through the Institute for the Study and Application of Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah (LPP-AIK) in collaboration with the Quantum Akhyar Institute (QAI) inaugurated the launch of the tahfizh and Qur'ani student education program using the At-Taisir method at the Scholar Building, Tuesday (26/9/23).

QAI is an Islamic study and da'wah development institution under the auspices of Dr. (HC) Ustaz Adi Hidayat, Lc., MA This collaboration program will later provide tahfizh coaching to UMJ students with the aim of producing Hafiz and Hafizah. UMJ as a campus that has an Islamic character continues to strive to uphold and implement Islamic teachings.

UMJ became the first Islamic campus to collaborate with QAI and was guided directly by Ustaz Adi Hidayat. UMJ has a target of producing 1000 Hafiz and Hafizah students. This was conveyed by the Chair of LPP-AIK UMJ, Drs. Fakhurozi, MA., when giving a speech at the launch of the tahfizh program.

"We have a target of at least a thousand tahfizh students in this first year. "Together with the Quantum Akhyar Institute (QIA) team guided directly by Ustaz Adi Hidayat, we are confident we can achieve this target in one year," concluded Fakhurozi.

Furthermore, he also reported that in achieving the target LPP-AIK would also involve UMJ students to become mentors in helping the tahfizh program guided directly by the QAI team. LPP-AIK has completed the recruitment process and carried out the pre-training process.

Next, LPP-AIK will continue with the mentor training process. Finally, LPP-AIK carried out a placement test stage to screen students who would participate in the tafizh program. LPP-AIK also carries out a reading development program for all new students who are not yet fluent in reading and memorizing the Al-Qur'an.

Chancellor of Muhammadiyah University Jakarta Dr. Ma'mun Murod, M.Si signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Advisor of Quantum Akhyar Institute Dr. (HC) Adi Hidayat, Lc., MA accompanied by Deputy Chancellor I Dr. Muhammad Hadi, S.kp., M.Kep., and Chair of LPP-AIK, Drs. Fakhurozi, MA., at the Cendikia Building, Tuesday (26/9/23).

On the same occasion, UMJ Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ma'mun Murod, M.Si., introduced that Ustaz Adi Hidayat is a doctor who was given an honorary title by UMJ. Of course, UMJ has stronger ties compared to other universities, which can be seen from the existence of this collaboration program.

Ma'mun also advised that this collaboration had been seriously designed by LPP-AIK UMJ. For this reason, it must be utilized by showing seriousness in participating in this program.

The launch activity was attended directly by Dr. (HC) Adi Hidayat, Lc., MA, he said that the tahfizh and Qur'ani student education program using the At-Taisir method is an international program. This program will bring together hafizh from twenty countries and interact globally. "Consisting of students and scientists. "The good news is that UMJ is the first campus in Indonesia to implement this program," said Adi Hidayat.

This program will learn to recognize the Al-Qur'an, learn to read, accelerate memorization, and provide an Al-Qur'an curriculum in accordance with the study program. Furthermore, he described the privileges of studying and memorizing the Koran. This is supported by recent research which shows that memorizing the Koran will increase intelligence threefold.

Lastly, he also invited students to show that by being good Muslims and experts in the Qur'an, there are great works produced starting from the Muhammadiyah University of Jakarta.

The tahfizh program and Qur'ani student education using the At-Taisir method was officially launched with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of cooperation by the Chancellor of UMJ, Prof. Dr. Ma'mun Murod, M.Sc., with Dr. (HC) Adi Hidayat, Lc., MA accompanied by Deputy Chancellor I Dr. Muhammad Hadi, S.kp., M.Kep., and Chair of LPP-AIK, Drs. Fakhurozi, MA.

This activity was also attended by Deputy Chancellor II Dr. Ir. Mutmainah, MM., Deputy Chancellor III Dr. Rini Fatma Kartika, S.Ag., MH., as well as representatives of Deans from several faculties.
